“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” –William Morris
My newest works expand beyond artwork to include furniture, home goods, and jewelry. It is important to me that what I create be useful as well as artful. My artwork is predominantly made with and from salvaged, repurposed materials. I enjoy the challenge of keeping my creations extremely affordable to make, as well as to purchase.
I like to describe my contemporary/alternative artwork as Industrial Abstract – beautiful, purposeful things reinvented or constructed by hand in a rustic contemporary style, using elements including ceramics, glass, metal, wood, leather and stone. Used (or hidden) in nearly every piece is something that was either discovered or rendered obsolete during the renovation of my gallery and studio – a former cheese factory.
