Two original ceramic sculpture figurines. From the artist Paula Wendland
There names are:
1. 'Put on the white gloves.'
2. 'More scope for my imagination...'
Ceramic clay, mixed media. En-caustic finish. The same finish the old Greeks used to paint statues. Each is between 7" and 8".
Her current collections are very unique pieces. I have studied them up close and these are exquisitely delightful.

Paula's mini bio... I am a fairly recent Door County transplant (2009); but I have deep roots as a long-time summer visitor. Back in the 60's, my parents bought an old fishing shack near Murphy Park. We spent our first summer in Door County in a pop-up camper while my Mom and Dad rehabbed the shack (with hand tools, as there was no electric service yet.) We spent many summers in that little cabin. We finally got electricity put in but there was no running water. We fetched drinking water from Murphy Park, and heated stream water for washing!
Anyway, I remember much of the "old-time" Door County: Nor-ski Lodge, the old quarry (before it was a park); the Four Arrows Restaurant; and especially, I fondly remember listening to Chief Oshkosh himself tell us about the native American heritage of the area.
Or come see them in person here before they are gone!
